Belle Toulousaine Itoh Peony

Here's another stunning example of a cross between a tree peony and a bush, or herbaceous, peony that displays the best qualities of each! Introduced in 2006, Belle Toulousaine is a vigorous Itoh peony that provides immense, long-lasting, colourful blooms year after year. These violet-pink, 8" flowers attract butterflies and other pollinators with their delightful fragrance. The lush, double flowers open from mid spring to early summer on strong stems growing 36–40" tall. Just below each main flower, an average of 4–6 side buds will emerge to form lovely secondary blooms. The plant's attractive, dark green foliage provides excellent contrast to the vividly hued flowers. Excellent for growing in a border and for cutting.
